Studio Link: start or join a live session
Studio Link connects two musicians live: every note, velocity and pedal press streams directly between your browsers. No roles, no hierarchy — both of you play, both of you hear.
Start a session
- Open Studio Link and choose Start a session.
- You get a 6-character code. Hit Invite on WhatsApp or copy the invite link.
- When they join, the status turns green: you’re linked.
Join a session
Got an invite link? Just open it — you’ll land in the room automatically. Got a code? Choose Join a session and type it in.
In the room
- Connect MIDI and Enable Sound from the bottom control bar — the confirmation chord tells you audio is live.
- The big piano shows both of you: your notes in cyan, theirs in red. No keyboard? Click the on-screen keys — they play and send too.
- The latency chip shows the real one-way delay: green is under 50ms — tight enough to trade ideas comfortably.
If the link fails
Some mobile networks block direct connections; the platform automatically falls back to a relay. If it still can’t connect, get both devices on the same Wi-Fi (or one on a hotspot) and rejoin.
