Voice, video and chat in Studio Link
Once you’re linked, the bottom bar gives you the full session kit — just like a meeting app, but the piano stays the star.
Microphone
Tap the mic button. Your browser asks for permission once; after that your voice streams to the other musician with echo cancellation on. Tap again to mute — the mic is fully released.
Video
Tap the camera button and two tiles appear: them, and your own mirrored preview. Tap again to stop — the camera light goes off and the tiles tidy themselves away.
Chat
The Session chat panel sits under the piano — handy for sharing a chord symbol, a song title or a YouTube link mid-session. Messages travel directly between your browsers and are never stored; when the session ends, the chat is gone.
Useful to know
- Hear myself toggles whether your own playing is voiced locally.
- All notes off is the panic button — it silences everything instantly.
- The other musician’s mic/camera status shows next to their name.
