Recording a session, replays and video export
Studio Link can record the playing from both sides of a session — every note, velocity and pedal move, time-stamped.
Record
- Hit the record button in the bottom bar (it pulses red while recording).
- Play. Both musicians’ notes are captured.
- Hit it again to stop — a results strip appears above the bar.
What you can do with a take
- Replay — watch it back on the piano right there: your notes cyan, theirs red, with sound.
- Export video — renders the take to a real, shareable video file (a branded piano view with the chord names, timer and audio baked in). Perfect for WhatsApp or socials.
- Session file — saves the raw take. Reload it any time from the Studio Link start screen (“Have a saved session file?”) and replay it — even weeks later.
The progression log
While anyone plays, the Progression log names every chord the session passes through, time-stamped — one tap copies the whole progression as text.
