Ear Trainer
The Ear Trainer builds the skill that separates players who read from players who hear: it plays intervals and chord qualities, and you identify them.
How to use it
- Hit start (this also wakes the audio engine) and choose what to drill — intervals or chord qualities.
- Listen, then answer by clicking — or by playing the answer on your MIDI keyboard, which trains your ears and hands together.
- Watch your accuracy: the misses tell you exactly what to drill next.
Pro tips
- Short daily reps beat long weekly sessions — five focused minutes a day moves ear training faster than an hour on Sunday.
- Struggling to tell two intervals apart? Anchor each to a song you know — that’s the trick every MD secretly uses.
